Feijoa or also known as pineapple guava is a winter fruit here in Southern California but it tastes like it should belong to summer.
This fruit is native to Brazil but did find its' way to the Northern hemisphere thanks to its aroma and flavor.
Some turn this fruit into jams, and others (like me) eat it as is... wait until it softens, slice it in half and scoop it up like an icecream.
